Cotswolds Health Club, Bourton on the Water

I have been working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer in the Cotswolds for over 10 years, working with a huge range of clients and conditions including polar explorers, stroke patients and knee replacements, all with different goals and aims, but all with a common focus; to achieve their goals as effectively and enjoyably as possible.

I have been extremely fortunate to find a career in something I love doing. I meet new people every day and gain a lot of satisfaction from the close and effective relationships I build with the people I train. I’m very proud of the fact that many of my clients have been with me since I started in 2004. When training people, the focus is not all about fitness. Confidence, nutrition, lifestyle, and enjoyment all play a very important role.

My interest in sport, exercise and diet in my early years as a swimmer. Working my way up to compete in the national championships taught me a great deal about discipline, working hard, the importance of trust and teamwork and of course, a good insight about how the body reacts to training and exercise. I continued my love of sport and exercise with a degree in Sports Science and Physiology from Leeds University and then a Master’s degree in Sports Science and Physiology from Manchester Metropolitan University. It was a natural progression for me to put this knowledge to good use by working with others to improve their confidence and wellbeing through health and fitness.
